Sync and backups
Get your profiles and themes onto your other devices, or keep the whole setup in one file you can put back later.
Clink for iOSiCloud Sync
Settings path: Home iCloud Sync
- Open iCloud Sync and turn it on.
- Choose which categories travel. Clipboard history and learned words start off.
They do once iCloud Sync is on: profiles and themes travel with your Apple Account.
What travels
Profiles and custom themes, plus your text clipboard history and learned words if you switch those on. Notes, copied images and the photos behind your themes stay on the device.
How it is protected
Yes. Everything is sealed on your device first, and the key never leaves your iCloud Keychain.
Everything is encrypted on this device before it goes up. The key stays in your iCloud Keychain, so only your devices can open it.
See what is up there
- Open iCloud Sync and tap Show what’s stored. Clink asks Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode first.
- Delete one category, or everything, from the same screen.
- Show what's stored
- Sync Now
- Delete from iCloud
Backup & Restore
Save your keyboard settings and custom layouts as a configuration file. Themes, custom languages and recent emoji are not included; export themes and custom languages separately.
- Open the profile menu on Home, then choose Manage → Backup.
- Under Configuration, tap Save and choose a location in Files. Keep this file before updating or making major changes.
- To restore it, return to Backup and tap Import, then choose the saved file and confirm replacing the current settings. Your current themes stay in place.
Factory reset
Factory reset puts Clink back to the way it arrived. The same screen carries narrower resets, for when you only want to clear your themes, layouts, panels or actions.
